Hormone Imbalance tied to Ph Levels

Hormone imbalance tied to PH levels and acidity

If you’re struggling with hormone imbalance or dealing with low progesterone, testosterone or low whatever,  you need to look at your Ph levels.  This is because the more acidic you are the more hormones your body must produce in order to get the same physiological response, if you were more alkaline.hormone imbalance and Ph levels

Think of your Ph levels like the weather outside and how long it takes to warm-up before the game.  If you’re playing in 70 degrees weather – it might take 10-15 minutes.  But if you’re playing in 30-degree weather, it might take 20-25 minutes to warm up.

So, the question is, what kind of environment are you making the cells of your body play in?  Are the cells of your body constantly playing in 30 degree weather?

I’m going to show you a simple DIY – Do It Yourself functional test to see if maybe your hormonal imbalance is connected to how ‘acidic’ your body is, and how to improve those imbalances.

What Does My PH Tell Me?measure your Ph levels for hormone imbalance

The reason to look at your Ph levels is that people who are more acidic have more chronic, degenerative health problems than those who are more alkaline.  What makes you acidic?  Your Diet!  Yes, exercise and stress have some influence, but the greatest influence comes from your diet!

  • People who are more acidic usually eat more processed, refined, packaged, cooked foods. More white flour and white sugar.  Coffee, soft drinks, juices…and yes, protein, more so protein powders.
  • People who are more alkaline are those who eat more fruits and veggies. They’re getting their 6-8 servings of fruits and veggies, which are loaded with vitamins and minerals which helps keep you alkaline.

Measuring Your Ph LevelsDIY for measuring Ph balance

We’re going to measure both oral and urinary Ph levels.  To begin with, you need PH paper that you can get at your local drug store, or you can order it online, you can also order it on our shopping cart.

You don’t have to pee in a cup, but here’s what you need to do.  Tear off 2 pieces of Ph paper.  One piece should be 3x longer than the other.  The shorter paper will be used to measure your oral PH.  The longer one is for measuring urinary PH.  Get some saliva in your mouth and stick about an inch of the paper in your mouth on your tongue and moisten the paper.  Then compare the color to determine your Ph.

Next, use the longer strip, walk over to the toile, sit down and pee on the bottom portion of the paper and measure it.  That’s it.  FYI…you don’t want anything in your mouth for 20-30 minutes prior to testing, so as not to throw the numbers off.

FOR THE BEST ACCURACY… do this test first thing in the morning for 7 days in a row to get a good baseline.  Place the Ph paper by your bed.  When you wake up, tear off a strip and measure.  As you walking to the bathroom, tear off another strip, sit down and measure urinary Ph.

HOW DO I GET MORE ALKALINEGreen Drinks are great for getting more alkaline

The quickest way to get your body more alkaline is to eat 6-8 servings of fruits and veggies a day.  If that doesn’t fit into your lifestyle, this is where supplements come in.  Not everyone will get what they need out of their diet.

I’m a fan of any and all of the Green drinks or supplements that give you 6-8 servings of fruits and veggies a day.  Powders or capsules, they both work great. I like them more than your typical multi vitamins.  Remember they’re supplements, they are designed to support your body, when your daily diet is deficient.  If you’re eating 6-8 servings of fruits and veggies, you probably don’t need a Green Drink.  But then again, maybe it’s Stress and Exercise that are contributing to all the acidity in your body.

Whatever the cause – the acidity is working against you. After about a month of supplementing your diet, ask yourself, how are you feeling?  Measure your Ph again for 7 days.  Has it changed?

FYI… If you’re also dealing with an inflamed and irritated gut.  Drink your Greens on any empty stomach for a better chance of absorption.  If you’re swallowing pills, be aware if you swallow those pills with an inflamed irritated gut, you may not be getting the best absorption of those nutrients… so Get Your Gut Working Right Poor digestion and absorption have a huge impact on overall health.

I usually drink my green drink first thing in the morning when I wake up, with a squeeze of lemon or lime.  I get that good alkaline hit in the morning…  I get some glucose in me and I hydrate.  Give it a try, you can find some of the various green drinks I like on our shopping cart.  Plus, you can get FREE shipping on orders over 50 dollars.  There’s also lots of great health information on the site too.
