Check Engine! are you listening to your symptoms?

CHECK ENGINE – Reading the Warning Signs

Good health is more than eating the right Calories, Good Fats, and Exercise!!!

Hippocrates, the father of medicine said β€œLet food be your medicine and let medicine be your food.”

Β β€œjust because you ate it – doesn’t mean you absorbed it”

If you’re struggling with digestive issues such as heartburn, indigestion, bloating, gas, diarrhea, or have graduated to irritable bowel, leaky gut, yeast overgrowth.Β  Or maybe your tummy problems have been reclassified with newer names such as SIBO (small intestinal bowel overgrowth), or pancreatic deficiency?

Whatever it’s called, just remember when your body… more specifically your gut sends you the Check Engine warning signs you have a few options.Β  You can ignore it; You can address the symptoms; or you can Address the Cause!

What You Eat or How You Eat?

Eating poor quality, processed, packaged, refined food creates one set of problems.Β  And Eating on the Go, in a Hurry, in Your Car can cause other problems too. This is why the first rule of EAT RIGHT is… do no harm to your tummy!

The ONLY thing you should feel after eating is less hungry! Β If you’re getting all these other digestive issues and have created an Upper GI or Lower GI problem; or both.Β  That needs to be addressed, as that may be the underlying cause of your health issues..

An Upper GI problem usually hits in the first 30 minutes after eating and a Lower GI problem comes about 90 minutes after eating.Β  There are different warning signs for different maladies.Β  Just remember you don’t simply wake-up one day with diabetes, heart disease, Crohn’s, Lupus, arthritis, hormone imbalance, cancer without some earlier signs tipping you off to a problem.Β  But how in the heck do you expect to strengthen your body, your immune system, your heart if every time you eat – your tummy gets all distended, and gassy?

Β Dietary Choices vs Dietary Habits

Is your Check Engine light turning on because of your Dietary Choices or Dietary Habits or Both?Β  Yes, what you eat could be distressing your tummy, but it can also be How You Eat.Β  If you Eat on the Go, on the Run, in a Hurry, in the CAR… that could be the cause or underlying cause of your tummy issues.

Unfortunately, there’s not a magic pill to help you Sit, Eat, and Relax.Β  It’s a learned skill that you need to learn, because eating on the go, in the car could be the root of your digestive problems, which is the first domino to fall.

Test Your Digestion

STRESS is More than Worry, Fear, and Anxiety

Stress weakens the immune system, and the more stress you place on the body, the weaker the immune system.Β  Combine Stress with Digestive Problems and you’ll see how your immune system can become weaker.

Keep in mind, stress is more than worry, fear, and anxiety. Β Exercise is a form of stress. Yes, exercise can help release some emotional, mental stress, but you could be replacing those benefits with the physical stress (your workout) you’re adding on your body with the additional cortisol, one of your major stress hormones.

Lack of sleep stresses the body, as does low blood sugar, which triggers your adrenal glands to pump out more cortisol to counteract the low blood sugar caused by skipping meals or eating the wrong foods.

Let’s not forget being on the go, rushing from here to there.Β  Racing to and from work, to home, school, picking up the kids, keeps the cortisol pumping.Β  One of the newer stresses on the body is electromagnetic stress from all the wi-fi signals going around us as we walk around with an antenna strapped to our body via our phones and watches.

So, are you listening to the signals your body is giving or not?Β  Remember, your body isn’t designed to produce an endless supply of antibodies, hormones, enzymes, antioxidants, and neurotransmitters to keep you healthy and happy.Β  To keep your body’s natural pharmacy operational you need to feed your body those essential raw minerals and vitamins through your diet, so your body can make all the antibodies, hormones, enzymes, neurotransmitters, and endorphins it needs.

So do yourself a favor and pay attention to the Check Engine light for both your car and your body.
