Coming soon, a library of information…as well as a digital calendar to integrate your STEPS with your active life.
You know it’s Not Good to feed your body junky food before bedtime, so why would you FEED Your MIND fearful, worrisome, junky thoughts before going to sleep?
Did I Daydream about my Tomorrow? Did I fall asleep visualizing and dreaming about doing great in tomorrow’s test, competition, meeting, etc? Or did I fall asleep with fear, worry and anxiety about tomorrow?
If you can’t imagine or visualize your goals and dreams coming true with Your Eyes Closed – how much harder will it be to make it happen with your Eyes Wide Open?
You spend a third of your life sleeping. Doesn’t it make better sense to use that time to focus on something positive and uplifting as opposed to letting your subconscious focus on the fear, worry, and doubt for tomorrow?
You Reap what you Sow! Do you replay and dwell on too much negative self-talk? Do you need to feed your mind with more positive, uplifting words of encouragement?
Positive self-talk might feel awkward at first, but positive self-talk goes back to biblical times when we first heard a man is as a man thinketh… the question is what kind of self-talk are you filling your head with?
Thinking Better begins by recognizing we process about 50,000 thoughts a day, Unfortunately, 80% of them are negative and from yesterday. So, it’s up to you to remind yourself that I Feel Great! I Can Do It!
Yes, it’s more common to think the worst. And if you think you can or think you can’t – you’re right! I simply want to start feeding your mind better thoughts and eliminate some of that ‘stinking thinking’ in your head.
As a teen, it’s all about taste – but there are some things you should and shouldn’t eat, especially before a test, presentation, performance, audition… because they will make you sleepy at the worst time ever.
Before your next test or performance you want your brain firing on all cylinders, so eat protein rich food such as, chicken, fish, eggs, beef, nuts and seeds, which stimulates those brain messengers to process and think better.
Carbohydrates are great before a workout, but they can also put your brain to sleep, especially processed carbs like chips, cookies, crackers, popcorn, pizza, pasta, bagels, french fries, soft drinks, smoothies, cereal and juice.
If what you eat makes you bloated, gassy, sneezy, burby or sleepy that’s a sign your Dietary Choices or Dietary Habits (eating on the go, in the car, etc.) could be a problem. Learn to Sit, Eat and Relax
Play and be Physical. For centuries we’ve been physically active carrying, lifting, pulling, pushing, and walking everywhere we go, unfortunately moving our physical body becomes harder as we get older.
Strong body – Strong Mind! I’m not trying to get you to start doing calisthenics, I simply want to keep you from sitting around playing hours of video games and watching cat video’s.
Your Body is Your Temple! Does it need a little makeover or a full remodel? No one is trying to make you an Olympian, you decide how physically active you want to be.
Neglecting Your Spirit is like skipping a meal – it leaves you empty! Your spiritual muscles are like your physical muscles! You can’t exercise once a week, once a month, or less and expect to be physically strong.
And you can’t expect to have any spiritual strength by simply being born into a religious family, it’s going to take some time, energy, and effort.
Yes, we are all coming from different starting points. Some have been raised with it, others not so much and others have been taugth that it’s nonsense, so there will be those who are lost, looking and let down.
Like exercise, there are many ways to strengthen your spiritual muscles. Reading is great, there’s Youth groups, and at your finger tips, you can click on a podcast, program, book, music to get a daily dose of His word.
